How to Create LVM Volume group in Linux Easily

How to Create LVM Volume group?

Once you have found your physical volume is created using the command “pvs”. Use “vgcreate” command to create a volume group.

vgcreate datavg /dev/sda /dev/sdb

“datavg” is the new volume group name.
/dev/sda and /dev/sdb – Disk initilized under LVM using pvcreate command.

Above command will create a volume group called “datavg” on two disk /dev/sda and /dev/sdb.

Use “vgs” command to confirm the newly created volume group is available or not.
