touch ~/important_data.txt
Step 3: Set the Immutable Attribute on the File
To make the file immutable, use the chattr command with the +i option. For example, to make important_data.txt immutable, use the following command:
sudo chattr +i ~/important_data.txt
Step 4: Verify That the Immutable Attribute Is Set
